Working from home stops working after a while. The flat gets small, the router sits in the wrong room, and there is nobody to say good morning to. The usual alternative in Mira Road is a coworking desk you have to book by the month.
The D's Cafe is the middle option. Free Wi-Fi, plug points, tables you can put a laptop on without apologising, and coffee within arm's reach.

Seating you can work at. Proper tables at proper height.
Food and coffee all day. Breakfast from 9 AM, sandwiches and rice bowls through the afternoon, coffee and shakes to 11 PM.
What it costs
Nothing extra. There is no desk fee and no time limit to buy. Order something from the menu and the table, the Wi-Fi and the plug point come with it.
The honest ask in return: if we are full at peak lunch and you have been nursing one coffee for three hours, order something else or free the table.
Good to know
We are a cafe, not a coworking space — no phone booth, no meeting room, no printer. For heads-down laptop work, reading, writing, studying or a quiet call with headphones, it works well. For a day of video meetings on speaker, it will not.
